Only a few websites have considered Schema Microdata in the last several years. You should always consider Schema as an integral part of your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process. Schema is a type of microdata that helps search engines in serving relevant results to users based on search queries.

A. Thinking about Schema.org?: The collaboration of Google, Yahoo, Bing and Yandex launched an initiative 'Schema.org' on June 2, 2011. A common set of schemas for structured data markup on web pages is included in the Schema.org website.

B. How to Implement Schema?: Schema Microdata defines the content of a web page. The addition of Schema attributes and elements in the HTML code of a web page provides more information to crawlers of search engines. As per the Schema.org type hierarchy, the 'itemscope' attribute indicates that a specific item is referred by everything contained in a particular '<div>'. Another example is 'Event' itemtype attribute that makes search engines understand the event taking place on a specific date ('startDate' and 'datetime' attributes).

C. Can we Expect SEO Improvement?: The crawlers of search engines can analyze the content of your web pages effectively if schema microdata is included in your HTML code. Schema in your code cannot get you a quick SEO implementation but it is considered as a best practice to make it convenient for search engines to portray your content.

D. What are other benefits of Schema?: Search engines can properly mark up your web pages and categorize the content of your website with Schema Microdata. Schema results in higher click through rates because it is used to define and display rich snippets of your content in search engine results pages (SERPs).

E. How do I Markup my Web Pages?: If your website has thousands of web pages then marking up your pages can be complicated. A lot of hard work is required as markup has to be added manually to each page. Use the Structured Data Testing Tool for analysis once you are satisfied with your markup.

F. Every Web Page Property need a Markup?: Google can create rich snippets using your microdata if you apply schema markup to a certain number of properties. The application of schema markup to more properties helps search engines to know the nature and purpose of your site's content in detail.

G. What about Social Media?: The conjunction of schema microdata with social media tags provide search engines with more information about a page's content. Make your content shareable and highly optimized by including schema markup alongside your Open Graph tags.

H. Are other Markup Data Types Supported by Schema?: Data types featured in RDFa and other formats are well supported by Schema in a digital marketing strategy.

I. Can I add my own Item Types?: You can find relevant subtypes in many commonly used item types. You can use extensions to add your item types to your markup.
